Use of Personal Information:
Your personal information, including your name, email address, and phone number, is used solely for the purposes of scheduling consultations, bookings, assisting you in answering questions, or resolving any issues that may arise. Additionally, we offer a special newsletter email sign-up for marketing purposes, where it is clear that there is an opt-in option.

User Consent:
Consent for collecting your personal information and sending communications is obtained when you either email us directly, call or SMS us, or provide your information through a web form. For the newsletter, you always have the option to opt-in or opt-out of receiving emails.

SMS Usage:
If you provide us with your phone number, we may send you SMS messages for appointment reminders, scheduling consultations, bookings, assisting you in answering questions, or resolving any issues that may arise. We retain your personal information as required by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and in compliance with the Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA) for a period of 10 years for legal purposes. Upon your request, we will delete your information, except where we are required to retain it by law.

As we are in compliance with Ontario’s Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA), your information, including Personal Data, may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ than those from your jurisdiction.

If you are located outside Canada and choose to provide information to us, please note that as per compliance with Ontario’s Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA), we transfer the data, including Personal Data, to Canada and process it there.

The Dot Canada will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy and no transfer of your Personal Data will take place to an organization or a country unless there are adequate controls in place including the security of your data and other personal information.
